A couple of days ago, Finn started pushing up and moving in earnest. Backwards. Suddenly he finds himself under the coffee table, across the rug, partway under his crib, etc. Fun stuff! I'm now waiting for him to figure out how to propel himself forward and already envisioning the babyproofing that will have to take place immediately thereafter. The days where I can leave the room to get coffee and be sure that he's in the same location when I return are numbered.

so cute! it's true - your days are numbered. the most challenging time was when he began to pull himself up (without knowing how to sit back down). you literally have to hover over the kid to make sure he doesn't lose his balance and fall on his head - which has happened a few times. :-(
oh and the crawling and standing in the crib. it's a fight sometimes to put him down for naps.
Oh...you don't even know, lady. But then 2 years later, you can leave the room for coffee again.
How cute! Watch out it all happens so fast. It's like Cooper crawled one day and now he is a speed crawler ~ out of the room in the blink of an eye! And he is now starting to pull up on things.....things I thought were sturdy :) I don't think you can over babyproof.
